| 2nd Annual LACROSSE for CEREBRAL PALSY A Fundraising, Awareness and High School Lacrosse Recruiting Event |
Want to play lacrosse while helping out people with disabilities at the same time!? Lacrosse for United Cerebral Palsy is a great way to help raise money for camp scholarships for children and young adults with Cerebral Palsy and play lacrosse. ALL PROCEEDS will go directly to help fund UCP of Delaware's Summer Camp Scholarships! This is a non-profit event that will also be marketed as a recruiting event for high school age boys. Why are we doing this event? In 2007, 85 children and young adults with disabilities enjoyed 6 weeks of Summer camp at UCP of DE's Camp Manito facility. In 2008, 45 had to stay home. The remaining 40 had their camp experience end 2 weeks early. All due to loss in funding! How can you ensure that all of these children, and many others, have an opportunity to go to Summer camp to learn, get therapy, play, have fun and just be a normal child? Play Lacrosse!!! WHO: High School age boys (9th-12th grades) DATE: Sunday, November 1, 2009 TIME: 9:00 am - 5 pm LOCATION: Schutte Park - Dover, DE COST: $80.00 tax-deductible donation per participant.
